Jesus is the Wisdom of God—1 Corinthians 1:22-24
Jesus is the Greater Solomon—Matthew 12:42
Jesus is the Blessing that Comes From Obedience—Ephesians 1:3 (2 Corinthians 6:16b; Leviticus 26:12)
Jesus is Our Discipline—Hebrews 12:1-11

What is this book about?
The chief purpose of the Biblical Wisdom Literature, and specifically the book of Proverbs, is to orient the heart, soul, mind, and strength around the true center of this world, which is the sovereign power and goodness of God, so that our whole existence may be founded on the fear of the Lord.

How does it point to Jesus?
Jesus is the personification of Wisdom, and so to discover the full-orbed nature of wisdom is to discover the heart and mind of Christ; He is the just king, He is wise man; He is the righteous one; He is the faithful friend. In the book of Proverbs, one cannot take two steps and not run into Jesus.
