Ephesians 4:1-16

FRAMING IT UP
In remembering the sermon, answer these questions:

Why is it important to “press on to know the Lord”?
According to Ephesians 4, in what context does Paul exhort us to press on to know the Lord?
For what purpose were each of us given grace “according to the measure of Christ’s gift” (4:7, 11-12)?
How long are we to be exercising our gifts (4:13)?
Why are we to be exercising our gifts in this way (4:14)?
What should the final result look like (4:1-3, 15-16)?

FILLING IT IN
Take some time to meditate on the same truth in these verses:

Hosea 6:1-3; Ephesians 4:1-16; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Galatians 3:25-29; 2 Peter 1:3-11

WORKING OUT YOUR SALVATION
As God's Word exposes my heart, what does this mean for my life?

1. Do I fully understand, at least as far as I am able to, the radically new nature of the family of Jesus Christ, and my inclusion in that family?

2. What are the things that I am prioritizing over and above the community life of this particular family of Christ?

3. What are the ways I need to grow up? In what direction do I need to press on to know the Lord in the context of my fellow brothers and sisters?

4. What gifts/talents/passions/personality traits has Christ given me in grace, for the sake of equipping the Church?

5. And finally, how can I use those gifts/talents/passions/personality traits to encourage my brothers and sisters to grow up into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ?
