The life of the Christian is defined by what the Holy Spirit is accomplishing in them, as they abide in Jesus. The Father is the vine dresser, Jesus is the vine, and we are a branch on which the Holy Spirit is cultivating fruit — that fruit being the character of God Himself.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
